Comhaltas is a national and international movement, providing opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds, but especially the young, to enjoy and participate in the traditions of Ireland that have been passed down through the generations.

Culture Ireland operates under Ireland’s Department of Culture, Communications and Sport, with a mission to promote and advance Irish arts worldwide. Since 2005, it has supported artists through regular grants, showcase programs, and international initiatives that bring Irish creativity to global stages. From major festivals to curated showcases, Culture Ireland empowers artists to connect with international presenters, gain visibility, and secure touring opportunities. Special initiatives, like Zeitgeist Irland 24, highlight Ireland’s vibrant cultural identity in focused regions around the world. Backed by an Expert Advisory Committee, Culture Ireland plays a central role in shaping the international impact of Irish arts through funding, strategic partnerships, and global cultural exchange.
