In the heart of San Francisco’s Inner Sunset, The Temple Bar is a new beginning built on old roots. For us, this bar is more than just a business—it’s a homecoming. From 2005 to 2008 We ran this space as The Blackthorn, creating a lively, welcoming spot where neighbors became friends over great pints and good craic. In 2008, we purchased the building and stepped back, leasing out the business for the next 16 years. But the pull of this place never left us. We returned So in 2024, we returned—not just to reclaim it, but to completely transform it. With a full renovation and a fresh vision, The Temple Bar is something entirely new while still holding onto the heart and hospitality that made this space special in the first place.
