Today, the Minnesota Irish Fair and local Gaelic sports clubs keep culture alive through music, dance, and athletic events. Pubs such as Merlins Rest in Longfellow and The Local downtown are beloved spots for food, whiskey, and camaraderie. Each August, the Irish Fair of Minnesota on Harriet Island in nearby St. Paul draws thousands, showcasing one of the Midwest’s largest Irish festivals.
