Several Afternoon Céilí events feature during TradFest 2026 in Ireland, taking place primarily from January 21–25. These events include family-friendly, guided, and social dances, all accompanied by live traditional Irish music.

A Lazarus Soul is a Dublin-based band led by acclaimed songwriter and poet Brian Brannigan. Altan are one of Ireland’s most influential and internationally celebrated traditional music groups. Formed in County Donegal, the band is renowned for its deep connection to the rich musical heritage of the region. Featuring world-class musicianship on fiddle, flute, accordion, and bouzouki, Altan’s sound is both powerful and finely detailed. Over decades of touring and recording, they have played a major role in bringing Irish traditional music to global audiences. Their performances combine virtuosity, warmth, and an unmistakable sense of place.

Amble is a contemporary three-piece Irish folk band that has achieved meteoric mainstream success since forming in late 2022. The ensemble consists of songwriters Robbie Cunningham, Oisín McCaffrey, and Ross McNerney, who initially relocated to Dublin before building a massive international following.

Avenue 68 is a fresh, genre-blending band emerging from Dublin’s vibrant music scene. Known for smooth vocals, intricate guitar work, and groovy arrangements, this five-piece explores a soulful mix of R&B, jazz, pop-soul and funk that transcends traditional boundaries. Their music—featuring singles like Venom and Not That Kinda Girl—balances emotional depth with catchy melodies and has drawn attention from Irish media, radio play, and festival audiences alike. With influences ranging from classic soul to contemporary jazz, Avenue 68 crafts rich soundscapes that resonate both live and in the studio.
