Atlanta’s Irish roots date back to immigrants who helped shape the city through railroads, business, and politics in the 19th century. Today, pubs like Fadó Irish Pub in Buckhead and Meehan’s Public House downtown carry on the tradition with hearty fare, live music, and plenty of camaraderie. The community also gathers at cultural events highlighting Irish dance and sport. Each March, the Atlanta St. Patrick’s Parade - one of the oldest in the Southeast - fills Peachtree Street with bands, dancers, and Irish pride.

It all started in 1996, when we came to the US with a mission: gather and connect the neighborhood by telling the story of Ireland's evolving pub culture. We called our pub Fadó (pronounced f'doe). It's a Gaelic word for "long ago" that was commonly used at the start of a great story. We continue to tell every day and we look forward to you being a part of it."

Gibney's is the local neighborhood bar in Downtown Atlanta and has been proudly serving the neighborhood since 1997! Our bar, jukebox and pool table make Gibney's the perfect place to grab a cold one (or two or three) and relax. History Established in 1997. Gibney's Pub opened its doors in 1997 and has become the staple neighborhood bar in Downtown Atlanta. Named for the owner's father, John B. Gibney, the bar and restaurant offer a casual environment with fantastic pub fare.

ATLANTA'S OLDEST IRISH PUB Founded in 1988, Limerick Junction Pub has proudly served Atlanta and the heart of the Virginia-Highland neighborhood since. Opened originally as a partnership between uncle Joe Krinsky (of Moe's and Joe's fame) with his nephews Hal & Rick Adams and Irish antique dealers Sean Nally & John Sadlier, Limerick Junction brought a slice of Ireland into Atlanta. Sean and John brought authentic pieces from Ireland into the pub: the school benches in the windows are turn of the century while the bar itself is an old wardrobe, the doors of which are the mirrors on our wall. The first general manager, Tracy Crowley, turned his experience at LJP into a career in the service industry that included owning some of the most well known and beloved iconic bars, taverns, and pubs around Atlanta. All six of these men can be found painted in our "picture" hanging to the left of the main entrance. Come and find them on your next visit. Current Publican Gordon Kerr has been involved since the first year of operation, moving from manager to partner to sole owner in 2010. That same year, Managing Partner Josh Jacob joined the family as a cook and bar back. He moved from back of house to bartender, lead bartender, and then General Manager. He joined Kerr in partnership in 2016. Our name comes from Atlanta's history as a railroad terminal: the town of Limerick Junction was born out of a rail stop just east of Limerick, Ireland, much like the Va-Hi neighborhood is part of East Midtown. A railroad theme is prevalent throughout the pub, from our antique signal lights to luggage above the windows. As of November 2025, our mural has been updated to feature not just Gordon and Josh, but also Gordon's wife Kat and two of their weimaraner dogs.

Irish Network Atlanta was founded in 2016 under the parent network, IN-USA. It’s aim is to connect Irish-born and Irish Americans and those who have an interest in Ireland within the Atlanta metro and surrounding areas; to promote other Irish organizations, especially those organizations with charitable status. IN-Atlanta harnesses the energy and talents of the Irish Diaspora in the US, and provides a forum where individuals can network, foster relationships and contribute to the Irish community in areas such as Irish heritage, culture, economics, sport and charitable organizations.
