Donie Carroll born in 1946 in a small village outside of Cork City, I grew up in a full household as the youngest of ten, as well as with two cousins, and loving parents. A proud Corkman, I have been involved with the folk and ballad scene for the past fifty plus years, in Ireland, England, and the USA. In 1993, I immigrated to the US and became a citizen in 2005. Always a musician, I have also supported myself by being a painting contractor. I have two sons who live in Ireland: Frank who has two lovely daughters (Eva and Emmie) and Donnacha. Donnacha and Linda his wife have two boys, Adam and Josh. In 2022, I married Teresa Ward who I live with in Sunnyside Queens. I founded the Sunnyside Singers Club in 2014 and recently began a weekly trad session at Sanger Hall in Sunnyside.
